Join me on a trip through the Appalachian Mountains, USA back to the roots of American folk music. 

In Bluegrass Junction, I will explore the historical development of bluegrass music. The blues sounds from the Mississippi Delta together with the gospel and traditional sound of Appalachia fuse to form a rich musical genre that continues to change its shape. With banjo, fiddle, guitar, bass and mandolin at the instrumental core, tune in once a month and hear the sounds and voices that create that “high and lonesome” bluegrass sound.

In Bluegrass Junction versuche ich die historische Entwicklung von Bluegrassmusik zu erkunden. Blues vom Mississippi zusammen mit dem Gospel und den traditionellen Klängen aus Appalachen verschmelzen zu einem Genre, das sich auch heute noch immer wieder verwandelt. Die Klaenge von Banjo, Geige, Gitarre, Bass und Mandoline bilden das instrumentale Herz dieser Musik.
